Bulletin: All Dealers and Title Service Agents

Purpose

To advise all dealers and tag and title services on a new registration plate available due to new legislation. 

Summary

Effective October 1, 2025, Senate Bill 54 (Chapter 492) - PDF and House Bill 313 (Chapter 491) - PDF passed reintroducing the 1910 Vintage reproduction plate for qualifying Class A, E, L, M, and N vehicles. When this plate was previously available in 2014, it was only available for a one-year period. This law makes this plate available indefinitely.

The plate scheme for Classes A, E and M will be VR#####, Class N will be VN#####, and Class L will be VL#####. This plate will be available to order as both a vanity plate and a handicap plate. 
 

The plate will be issued from the Vehicle Services back office and mailed to the customer.
 

FEE
The cost of the initial issuance is an additional $100, and the cost at registration renewal is an additional $25 per year.
