Bulletin: Dealers and Tag & Title Agents
From: Nikki Charlson, Deputy Administrator, Central Operations
Purpose
To notify dealers and tag and title agents who use CDK Global’s dealer management system (CVR) of the timeline to return to normal processing.
Previously issued bulletins on this issue are Bulletins D-06-24-02 (issued on June 21, 2024), D-06-24-03 (issued on June 22, 2024), D-06-24-04 (issued on June 26, 2024), D-06-24-05 (issued on July 1, 2024), and D-06-24-06 (issued on July 10, 2024).
Summary
Now that the CVR solution is available for use, dealers and tag and title agents using this solution should return to the normal process for issuing temporary registrations and submitting transactions. This means:
- MVA’s online process to generate and print a 14-day temporary registration form will be disabled on July 29, 2024.
- Dealers and tag and title agents must use their ERT solution to transfer titling and registration documents to MVA. Please do not use the portal to upload these documents unless the transaction is unable to be completed through ERT.
If you added a second temporary tag solution or are transitioning to a new ERT solution, please remember that user affidavits will be required. MVA temporarily waived this requirement to facilitate the quick transition to another vendor’s solution and will be requesting new user affidavits for the new solution. If you are transitioning to a new ERT solution, please remember to maintain access to your current ERT system to facilitate MVA’s review of “pending” transactions, financial obligations, or transactions with missing images with your existing vendor before formally completing the transfer.
If you have any questions, please contact:
- MVA’s Business Licensing and Compliance Division with questions about contracting with an ERT vendor. You can reach Kristin Orlando at [email protected] or Timothy Batts at [email protected].
- MVA’s Vehicle Services Division with questions about specific vehicle transactions. The team can be reached at [email protected]. You can also contact Brian Forde at [email protected], Shae Richards-Marks at [email protected], or Winfield Duffy Jr. at [email protected].
