Purpose
To provide dealers and tag and title services with direction regarding the acceptance of plate, sticker and permit inventory.
Summary
The MVA is actively working to improve our inventory validations and reports and will soon be implementing an inventory validation tool that will prevent you from placing additional inventory orders if our records indicate you have inventory “in transit.” Additional detailed information regarding this change will be provided in later communication.
Our reporting shows that there is inventory currently located at dealers and tag and title services that has not been received into your ERT system. To ensure the inventory reporting is accurate,
please complete a physical inventory audit of your plates, current stickers and permits and verify all items have been received into your ERT system by March 17, 2025. If you find any inventory
that has not been received into your ERT system, please receive that inventory in the system.
To ensure you can order inventory without delay in the future, all inventory should be received into your ERT system immediately upon arrival to your business. If you are having any issues with your inventory system or ordering/receiving inventory, please contact your ERT vendor.
