Administrative Fine Waivers: 30-day Notice

Bulletin | January 16, 2026

Updated:

Date: August 30, 2024
Bulletin: All Dealers and Tag and Title Agencies
From: Business Licensing and Compliance

Purpose
The purpose of this bulletin is to give the business community a 30-day notice of the end of the mandatory ERT document uploading transition period.

Summary
In the ERT Letters and Notices of Administrative Fines bulletin dated June 12, 2024 (available here - PDF ), we explained how to request a waiver of administrative fines during the transition to mandatory electronic filing and noted that, when the transition period ends, the only reason for granting a waiver is documented technical errors with your vendor. We also stated that we would provide a 30-day notice before ending the transition period.

This bulletin is the 30-day notice that the transition period is ending. This means that transactions processed via ERT on or after October 1, 2024, are not eligible for a waiver of administrative fines unless there is a documented technical error with your vendor.

Please keep in mind that the documents are still required even if a fine is issued and paid.
