Purpose
To inform the dealer and tag and title community of an issue with the 8GH series plates currently in inventory.
Summary
The Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) has become aware of an inventory issue with plates that include the 8GH letter series in the inventory system. While the inventory labels on the boxes and the computer system have these plates listed with 8GH, the plates were accidently made with the letters showing as 8HG.
If you have plates and boxes in the series 8GHxxxx, please pull the plates out of your available inventory and mark them as “Damaged” in your ERT system. Please return plates to your nearest MVA Branch Office. There is no need to reach out to customers to offer replacement plates, the MVA will be in communication with the customer.
